Defra and the Welsh Government have now published joint guidance, ‘Providing and protecting habitat for wild birds’. This guidance provides information for public bodies on implementing the duty in Regulation 9A of the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010, which relates to providing sufficient diversity and area of habitat for wild birds in England and Wales.
