Planning authorities in England with responsibility for making decisions about developments that could have an impact upon ancient woodland and veteran trees can now access revised Standing Advice from Natural England.
The Standing Advice on ancient woodlands and veteran trees has been revised in partnership with the Forestry Commission and has been published for use by Local Planning Authorities throughout England. It sets out a series of checks that will guide planners when assessing the impact of any proposed development on ancient woodland.
